Valentine's Day Book Exchange

Looking for a way to build community, strengthen your child’s ability to give compliments, and foster a love for reading?

This Valentine’s Day activity is so fun to do with your neighborhood community or homeschool community.

THE BASICS:

  1. Pick out a book to gift to someone. It can be something from your own shelf that you’ve lovingly read cover to cover or something new you just discovered!

  2. Make a special valentine for the person who you will be gifting the book to. In the Valentine, write a note to the person telling them a few attributes they embody that you think makes them special.

  3. Drop it off on their porch ding-dong-ditch style!

If you do this with a class at school, you can just have the students wrap the book and then drop it off at their partner’s table.
